Calculus Solver is a free educational workspace focused on calculus and the algebra needed to learn it. The product is designed to expose the method behind an answer, not to replace mathematical judgment.

What we are building

The main solver recognizes derivatives, integrals, limits, equations, and common function notation. Focused calculators provide topic-specific input formats, while guides and worked examples connect the result to the rule being used.

How answers are produced

Supported expressions are parsed and computed with symbolic or numerical math engines. Deterministic checks run separately where possible: equation candidates can be substituted into the original equation, derivatives can be compared symbolically or numerically, and calculator inputs are validated before a result is presented.

When an AI explanation provider is configured, it may turn a computed result into clearer teaching language. AI text does not replace the underlying calculation or verification status, and the interface distinguishes a verified result from an explanation.

Editorial and example policy

Guides and worked examples are maintained by the Calculus Solver editorial team. Examples state the method, show ordered transformations, separate the final answer, and include a common mistake when it helps learning. We do not publish invented author credentials or imply that automated output is a formal proof.

Pages are updated when their mathematical explanation, supported input, or tool behavior changes. Cosmetic build activity alone is not treated as a content review.

Accuracy, limitations, and corrections

No online solver can guarantee every result for every notation. Ambiguous input, domain restrictions, discontinuities, branch choices, and unsupported symbolic forms can change what a correct answer requires. Users should review assumptions and course conventions before relying on an answer.

Privacy and responsible use

Calculus Solver does not require an account. Review the privacy policy for how submitted problems, local history, optional AI processing, and feedback are handled. Use the site to learn and check work, not to bypass course rules or substitute for a required proof.
